Male: Forewing upperside similar in general pattern to Unzela japix japix but with the posterior and central parts of the medial band paler than the costal section, thus rendering the discal spot visible, and with the distal edge rounded-sinuate, rather than sharply incised, at CuA2. Male genitalia: Similar to those of Unzela japix japix but: gnathos much longer and slenderer, almost three times as long as gnathos; valves large, left valve evenly rounded at end, right valve slightly upcurved; right harpe longer than right valve, similar to that of Unzela japix japix; left harpe short, ending in a short, somewhat clubbed process; phallus with a flat, twisted process, the right edge of which is obtusely dentate, the teeth being continued as folds along the surface of the process.
