Adhemarius daphne subsp. interrupta (Closs, 1915)

Proposed originally as an [individual] form of Amplypterus gannascus in which the hindwing black submarginal band is interrupted between the veins and broken into a number of rhomboidal spots. Implicitly treated as a subspecies of Amplypterus gannascus by Cary, 1951, Trans. Amer. Ent. Soc. 77: 89, who thereby made the name available. Resynonymized with the nominotypical subspecies as an individual form by Bridges, 1993, Cat. Fam. Gen. Spec. Sphingidae of the World: VIII.1. Synonymized with Adhemarius daphne as a subspecies by Vaglia & Haxaire, 2005, Lambillionea 105: 11.
