Xylophanes epaphus
Diagnostic description:
Most similar to Xylophanes obscurus but generally paler and with a pinkish tint overall. Forewings shorter and broader than Xylophanes obscurus, less excavate below apex. Forewing upperside similar to Xylophanes obscurus but paler brown; dark patch distal to discal spot smaller, transverse, narrowly oval, less than half the width of that of Xylophanes obscurus; conspicuous postmedial line slightly concave and running to the apex (as in Xylophanes cosmius).
Male genitalia: Harpe similar to Xylophanes juanita. Phallus similar to Xylophanes anubus but right process broader and denticulate patch smaller and less densely denticulate.
