Xylophanes godmani
Diagnostic description:
Most similar to Xylophanes rhodina but outer margin of forewing scalloped, apex more falcate, tornus more pronounced. Basal cilia of antennal flagellomeres elongate. Outer spur of midtibia much shorter than inner. Forewing upperside similar to Xylophanes rhodina but pattern more variegated, basalmost postmedial band sinuate and area distal to the longitudinal band conspicuously paler than the rest of the wing. Similar to Xylophanes rhodina but dark longitudinal band more conspicuous. Hindwing narrower than in Xylophanes rhodina; medial band generally present only from M3 to anal angle, darker edging on each side equally wide.
