Xylophanes porcus
Female antennae with cilia at the base of each segment weakly prolonged. External white edge of tegula not marked on the occiput, indistinct anteriorly on the pronotum, reappearing as a fine line in front of the antenna. Outermost row of forebasitarsal spines numerous only at base, reduced distally to one row. Outer spur of midtibia obviously longer than inner. Abdomen upperside without traces of lines, lacking a pair of dorso-lateral black patches. Forewing upperside with a distinct discal spot; antemedial and postmedial bands represented by diffuse olive-green "clouds"; submarginal band reduced to a single row of small dots.
Male genitalia: Uncus long and slender, gradually tapered, obtusely pointed. Gnathos long, weakly spatulate, apex obtusely rounded. Harpe straightly acuminate. Dorsal edge of phallus projecting in the shape of a half moon; both processes, slender free, directed anteriorly, the right narrower, the left broader and with comb-like dentition proximally.
Records from Mexico (San Luis Potosi, Puebla, Veracruz), Belize, El Salvador and Honduras are unconfirmed but likely to be Xylophanes porcus. The record from USA (Florida) is most probably a stray specimen.
