Outer spur of midtibia longer than inner. Spines of abdominal tergites uniseriate. Forewing upperside pattern very uniform, with only a vestige of the postmedial line seen in Xylophanes irrorata; a slightly brownish patch present near end of discal cell, another smaller one occasionally present in middle of cell; disco-marginal area dusted with brown scales, especially posteriorly.
Male genitalia: Uncus long and slender, truncate, feebly sinuate. Gnathos slightly dilated distally, apex rounded. Harpe sharply narrowed in middle, somewhat concave distally. Phallus with a central process, as in Xylophanes irrorata, projecting proximad, slightly curving sinistro-laterad, produced distally into a short, dentate hook, similar to the right-side process of other species.
