Xylophanes schreiteri
Diagnostic description:
Similar to Xylophanes resta but both forewings and hindwings apically more falcate, and outer margin of forewing straighter. Forewing upperside as in Xylophanes resta but distal to discal spot there is a dark brown dash running parallel and sometimes connected to the first postmedial line, which is stronger and reaches closer to the apex. Forewing underside with apical area on costa pale yellow (as in Xylophanes resta), but occasionally pale buff and contrasting strongly with the orange-yellow ground colour (as in Xylophanes eumedon).
