Adhemarius palmeri
Distinguished from other species of Adhemarius by the wing pattern, particularly: Forewing upperside subbasal band formed from a conspicuous costal patch and a large rounded patch on the inner margin with a prominent gap between them; antemedial line conspicuous, curved, oblique, running from the inner margin just distal to the subbasal patch to the costa just basad of the apical patch; apical patch quadrate, as in Adhemarius ypsilon but smaller. Hindwing upperside with a brown marginal band, similar to Adhemarius eurysthenes but broader.
Male genitalia: Gnathos almost truncate, very weakly sinuate. Harpe with submesal ridge rather higher than in Adhemarius gannascus.
Female genitalia: Ostium bursae with anterior margin more strongly sclerotized than in Adhemarius gannascus.
