Ambulyx auripennis
Diagnostic description:
Underside of body is deeper yellow than in Ambulyx substrigilis; the markings of the wing are less heavy; the submarginal black line of the forewing is vestigial on the upperside and absent on the underside (as in Ambulyx clavata group), and the long scales on the fringe of the hindwing are white. Harpe with distal process shorter and more slender than in Ambulyx strigilis.
Male genitalia: Phallus with apical process stouter than in Ambulyx strigilis.
