Ambulyx wildei
Diagnostic description:
Similar to small specimens of Ambulyx substrigilis but with the submarginal line of the forewing upperside running closer to the margin. Female deeper brown than male and even deeper in tint than the deepest-coloured specimens of Ambulyx substrigilis.
Male genitalia: Gnathos sinuate mesally, the sinus deeper than in Ambulyx substrigilis and the sides of the plate more slanting. Harpe: similar to that of Ambulyx substrigilis. Phallus: similar to that of Ambulyx substrigilis, but with apical process club-shaped.
Female genitalia: Abdominal tergum A8 not deeply incised. Sterigma broadly rounded distally; ostium proximal, its proximal margin not prominent.
