Antinephele camerounensis Clark, 1937

Very similar to Antinephele anomala but broader-winged and generally darker. Median thoracic line continuous (interrupted proximally in Antinephele anomala). Underside of abdomen with more scattered dark scales than Antinephele anomala. Oblique subapical band of forewing upperside broader and of more even width than in Antinephele anomala; the conspicuous black lunules in this line between M₁ and M₃ in Antinephele anomala reduced to short, straight dashes. Forewing underside much darker basally than in Antinephele anomala; apical white dots more numerous than in Antinephele anomala, in which there are just three from M₁ to CuA₁, with a fourth more apical; a diffuse white area present between the costal margin and Rs4 (absent from Antinephele anomala). However, examination of the series of Antinephele anomala (n = 10) and Antinephele camerounensis (n = 8) in NHMUK has shown that none of the diagnostic features given by Clark and reproduced here holds. Overall, there seem to be no diagnostic characters of colour and pattern that would serve to distinguish these two taxa. Male FWL: 21-21.5 mm; female FWL: 22 mm.

Male genitalia: almost identical to Antinephele anomala but harpe slightly less tapered.
