Proposed as a subspecies of Ceridia agilei.
There must be doubts about the validity of this subspecies given its stated distribution (Cameroon, Chad, Ghana) compared to that of the nominotypical subspecies (RCA, Burkina). However, the Ghana and Burkina records are from coll. Eitschberger and have not been independently confirmed. It is most likely that either the diagnostic features do not hold, and the subspecies is not valid, or the Burkina population properly belongs to Ceridia agilei occidentalis rather than the nominotypical subspecies.
