Basiothia charis
Very similar to Basiothia schenki but immediately distinguishable by the double white dorsal line along the abdomen. Abdomen dorsally with double white median longitudinal line. Fringe near eye more prominent than in Basiothia schenki. Labial palp segment 1 similar to Basiothia schenki, very convex apically. Forewing upperside as in Basiothia schenki but with an additional narrow brown line within the more distal pale brown band. Hindwing upperside as in Basiothia schenki but deeper pink.
Male genitalia: Uncus similar to Basiothia schenki but more curved and distinctly sinuate. Gnathos similar to Basiothia schenki but shorter, subcarinate ventrally. Harpe subcylindrical, straight, smooth, obtuse. Phallus with apical margin produced on the left into a dentate process; a similar but shorter process on the right; some submarginal teeth also present.
Female genitalia: Margin of ostium bursae more heavily sclerotized than in Basiothia schenki, forming a semicircular ridge.
