Diagnostic description:
Indistinguishable from Phylloxiphia oweni in external appearance, differing only in features of the male genitalia: Uncus arms each with a subapical, dorsal hump (in Phylloxiphia oweni, the dorsal margin is evenly curved in lateral view); in dorsal view, the invagination between the uncus arms is shorter, wider and more rounded than in Phylloxiphia oweni; valves longer, narrower and more slender than in Phylloxiphia oweni.
