Callambulyx poecilus
Morphology:
Forewing as strongly falcate as in Callambulyx junonia and less falcate than in Callambulyx tatarinova. Forewing underside red in basal half, as in some specimens of Callambulyx tatarinova. Uncus similar to that of Callambulyx rubricosa but narrower and with apex more suddenly narrowed; dorsoventrally deep and flattened, unlike in Callambulyx tatarinovii where it is narrow and evenly tapered.Gnathos reduced, without medial lobe. Valva widened distally into a subquadrate flap, bearing a high triangular crest on the inner surface dorsally, which is continuous with the subdorsal fold of the more proximal part of the valve; harpe terminating in long apical hook and with a short subapical tooth.
