Xylophanes yuliyae
Xylophanes yuliyae is very similar to Xylophanes libya but is larger and can be distinguished by its paler coloration, the lack of a dark apical mark on the forewing upperside, the very strong and dark fifth postmedial line, the black apex of the hindwing and the different forewing shape, which is broader and more acutely pointed.
Male genitalia: The apical process of the harpe is larger, finely serrate along its dorsal edge, and directed upward at almost 90°. In Xylophanes libya, the apical process of the harpe is longer, thinner, straighter, sharper and is directed distally at closer to 45°. The apical process of the phallus of Xylophanes yuliyae ends in a hook, rather than the flat dentate spatula of Xylophanes libya, and also bears an oblique band of irregularly scattered teeth on the left side.
