Cautethia noctuiformis
Diagnostic description:
Hindwing upperside differs from all other Cautethia taxa in that the basal yellow area divided by a thin black line along 1A+2A. Hindwing underside with yellow area sometimes reduced to a small patch.
Male genitalia: Uncus shorter than the gnathos, not curved, truncate-sinuate, apically slightly dilated and dentate. Gnathos rounded apically, club-shaped in lateral view, upper surface swollen at apex, this swollen part divided medially and each half transversely ribbed. Harpe short, obtuse, incrassate, denticulate along dorsal edge. Phallus produced into a straight dentate process that is longer than phallus is wide.
