Cechenena transpacifica
Diagnostic description:
Similar to Cechenena chimaera but immediately distinguishable by the basal area of the forewing underside being reddish-ochre rather than black. Even more sexually dimorphic than Cechenena chimaera. Intensity of the dark pattern of the forewing upperside highly variable individually, ranging from very heavily marked to almost unmarked.
Male genitalia: Similar to Cechenena chimaera but: Harpe with irregularly dentate dorsal margin. Phallus apically curved with three distinct apical teeth.
