Daphnis layardii (Taxonomy)
Morphology:
Most similar to Daphnis hypothous moorei but smaller. Forewing upperside similar to Daphnis hypothous moorei but white highlighting of many of the pattern elements reduced or absent, giving a much flatter and less contrasted pattern; basal band reduced to an ovoid patch between the radius and 1A+2A; antemedian line distinct only anteriorly. Similar to Daphnis hypothous hypothous but valve less pointed and less dilated dorsally.
