Daphnis protrudens (Taxonomy)
Morphology:
Immediately distinguishable from all other species of Daphnis by the violet-toned dark chocolate brown marginal band on the forewing underside. Forewing upperside with proximal edge of median brown not sharply defined. Uncus short, straight. Gnathos as long as uncus, broad. Harpe not dentate, with a long distal process. Aedeagus apical process with a very long horizontal right lobe and short left lobe with two teeth pointing proximally.
