SYNTYPES 2 N. India (1 pres. by Mrs Hawes; 1 pres. by E. Doubleday) [NHMUK]. The male presented by Mrs Hawes has been labelled as manuscript lectotype in NHMUK (M.R. Honey, pers. comm.). Butler, 1881, Illustr. typ. Spec. Lepid. Heterocera Brit. Mus. 5: 16, illustrated the specimen from North India (Hawes) as "typical" but this did not constitute a valid lectotype designation.
