Eumorpha guadelupensis (Taxonomy)
General description:
Raised to species status by Eitschberger, 2011, Neue ent. Nachr. 66: 147.
Morphology:
Distinguished from Eumorpha obliquus by the larger size (130–150 mm), distinctly paler general coloration; rosy rather than yellowish underside of the body and wings, and the anal tuft with the dark points reduced, sometimes absent. Similar to Eumorpha obliquus, but:
Uncus longer, the internal angle more obtuse.
Harpe with hooks less divergent, basal swelling less accentuated.
Juxta less elevated and nearly truncate apically.
Aedeagus more pointed, with a slight swelling just before apex.
