Euchloron megaera
An unmistakable species; uppersides of head, thorax, abdomen and forewings emerald green, hindwing uppersides orange-yellow, with an incomplete black median band.Wingspan: 80-110 mm. Labial palp segments 2 divergent, touching only proximally, where the ventral scaling is long and tuft-like; inner surface not naked, but clothed with thin and rounded scales; outer side of labial palp simple, joint not open, no apical cavity on segment 1. Uncus long, pointed.Gnathos parallel sided, apically rounded .Inner surface of valve densely covered with long setae; stridulatory scales numerous.Harpe a strong pointed hook.Aedeagus similar to Rhagastis, with a slender, subcylindrical, apically dentate right process and a broad, flat, marginally dentate left process. Lateral edges of sterigma raised.Ostium bursae covered anteriorly and laterally by a high, weakly sclerotized ridge, minutely folded longitudinally, and incised medially, the two lobes strongly and broadly rounded.
