Type data:

HOLOTYPE ♂ [Indonesia:] N. Celebes [Sulawesi Utara], Minahassa, «1885» (Platen) [MNHU]. Eitschberger (2008, Neue Ent. Nachr. 62: 126) erroneously stated that the holotype was in NHMUK.

Taxonomic Notes:

Proposed as a subspecies of Eurypteryx bhaga. Raised to species status by Kitching & Cadiou, 2000, Hawkmoths of the world: 106.
