Gnathothlibus brendelli
Similar to Gnathothlibus meeki, but differs in the longer, strongly falcate forewings. in the red coloration on the underside of thorax and the hindwing discal spot. Head with red stripe anterior to eye and creamy yellow spot at base of antenna. Upperside of thorax dark brown with two prominent pale yellow spots; outer margins of tegulae creamy yellow. Labial palps pale yellow. Underside of thorax red laterally, pale yellow in centre and dark brown near legs. Forewing upperside pattern reminiscent of Ampelophaga khasiana but with a strong greenish tint; ground colour dark green-brown, pattern of transverse lines and bands obscure. Forewing underside bright yellow with brown outer margin and dark yellow irroration on outer third of wing. Hindwing upperside bright yellow with a black spot at base; dark brown marginal band broadest on 1A+2A, narrowing rapidly towards apex; a dark brown discal spot present. Male forewing length: 46 mm.
