Gnathothlibus meeki
Very similar to Gnathothlibus heliodes but immediately distinguishable by the unicolorous dark olive-green colour of the upperside of the labial palps, head and thorax. Forewing apex more falcate than Gnathothlibus heliodes. Forewing upperside ground colour dark olive-green, with a dark straight postmedial line and two convex antemedial lines. Hindwing upperside similar to Gnathothlibus heliodes but ground colour deeper orange, with black at extreme base and inner edge of dark brown marginal band strongly angulate on M2.
Male genitalia: Uncus narrow, evenly curved. Harpe tapering, sharply curved dorsally. Phallus rounded apically with a small triangular projection on left side.
Even after the splitting out of Gnathothlibus marionae, DNA barcoding suggests that Gnathothlibus meeki may still be a complex of up to three species.
