Morphology:
Yellow bands of abdomen upperside extending across entire width of the segments, fringes of tergites also yellow. Underside of body paler orange than in Hemeroplanes triptolemus. Forewing upperside with bluish-white shading in the basal and postmedian areas; silver mark 4- 5 mm long, not forked basally, posterior branch being obsolete. Hindwing upperside with bluish white shading in marginal area, basal area also bluish-white. Hindwing underside more orange than Hemeroplanes triptolemus; postmedian area rust-brown along the greyish-brown border. Harpe sinuate apically, both lobes obtuse, the upper lobe the longest.
