Manduca boliviana

Forewing upperside ground colour light grey; pattern brighter and more vivid than Manduca brasiliensis, the black areas of the postmedial band reduced and narrowed. Forewing underside lighter than Manduca scutata and Manduca brasiliensis, with three strongly marked postmedial bands and a broad marginal band. Hindwing upperside white submarginal band as close to the margin as in Manduca brasiliensis (closer than in Manduca scutata) but less obscured by grey. Hindwing underside postmedial band narrower and more marked than Manduca scutata and Manduca brasiliensis. Male forewing length: 44 mm.
Male genitalia: Harpe with simple recurved dorsal lobe, almost circular in outline (in Manduca scutata, the distal margin of the dorsal lobe of the harpe is markedly dilated and projects strongly so as to exceed the apex of the ventral process).
