Neopolyptychus consimilis
One of the "small" Neopolyptychus that are indistinguishable on external appearance. Male FWL: 30 mm.
Male genitalia: Most similar to those of Neopolyptychus choveti but: Dorsal apical process of valve narrow in dorsal view, gradually and evenly incurved (thicker in dorsal view and sharply incurved at 90°, then slightly recurved at the very apex, in Neopolyptychus choveti); broader and less strongly angled upward in lateral view. Ventral apical process of valve shorter and rounded (longer and apically sharply pointed in Neopolyptychus choveti. Apex of phallus a transverse, helical, spinose band that turns through about 360° ventrally.
Female genitalia: Lamella postvaginalis smoothly sclerotized (but with some median rugosity), broadly quadrate, posterior margin slightly produced medially with a very shallow notch. Ostium bursae flanked by a pair of slightly divergent, pointed processes that slightly exceed the posterior margin of the lamella postvaginalis.
