Nomenclature notes:

In the discussion of the types of Papilio scipio Palisot de Beauvoir, Smith & Vane-Wright, 2001, Bull. Brit. Mus. Nat. Hist. (Ent.) 70: 560, stated that "Palisot de Beauvoir's Nigerian collection was destroyed when the British overran the Owara trading station in 1791". Although not specifically stated as coming from Nigeria, it is likely that the type(s) of accentifera were also part of this collection and were likewise destroyed.
