Nephele accentifera
Diagnostic description:
Abdomen upperside with black patches. Hindbasitarsal and spur combs strongly developed. Underside of labial palps slightly paler than thorax. Forewing upperside boldly but irregularly marked with dark brown, grey and ochre; submarginal area dark brown with diffuse ochre spots between the veins on the outer margin. Stigma comprising three silver commas. Hindwing upperside dark olive brown with a blackish margin. Male wingspan: 72-82mm, average= 76 mm. Female wingspan: 74-82 mm, average = 78 mm.
Distribution:
A specimen found at the entrance to the Herbarium, Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew, U.K. in October 2014 (Shortall et al., 2015; STI 20909) is not mapped.
