Nyceryx coffaeae (Walker, 1856)

Immediately distinguishable from all other Nyceryx by the dark brown band dividing the yellow basal area of the hindwing upperside. Hindwing upperside with yellow basal area crossed by a dark brown band that stops in front of Rs. Uncus and gnathos nearly as broad as in Nyceryx stuarti, sinus very wide, lobes comparatively short; uncus shorter than gnathos; the broad tips of the lobes outside those of the gnathos; gnathos almost horizontal, not strongly curved, slightly dilated before a short apical hook.Harpe a low ridge that gradually fades away, without a free process, before middle of ventral margin of valve.Aedeagus ending in an obtuse, apically dentate dorsal lobe, on the left side a dentate longitudinal ridge and only a few setae along the apical margin on the right side, together with two bristles.
