Nyceryx riscus

Smaller and paler than Nyceryx stuarti, with the forewing apex distinctly sinuate. Forewing upperside with an indistinct, grey-centred discal spot and a conspicuous black dot distal of it towards the costa. Uncus and gnathos about as broad as in Aellopos tantalus tantalus, the lobes not nearly so widely separated as in Nyceryx stuarti; uncus much less twisted and more evenly curved ventrad, sharply pointed in lateral view; gnathos different in shape from Nyceryx stuarti, dilated before the apical hook, somewhat more than in Nyceryx magna, but less than in Nyceryx nictitans.Harpe a little shorter than in Nyceryx stuarti, with a few apical notches. Aedeagus with whip reduced to a short, triangular, non-movable process that is densely dentate apically and along the right edge. Sterigma as in Nyceryx stuarti but posterior margin medially more rounded.
