Nyceryx tacita (Druce, 1888)

Very similar to Nyceryx eximia eximia but distinguishable by the less extensive basal yellow area of the hindwing upperside and details of the pattern of the forewing upperside. Whitish lateral spots on underside of abdomen rather smaller than in Nyceryx eximia eximia; first two sternites more densely scaled with purplish-white, contrasting rather strongly with the other segments, Forewing upperside very similar to Nyceryx eximia eximia but: dark patch on inner margin sharply bounded on the proximal side by a straight grey line, which is vestigial to the costa, where it ends near one of two black dots situated at the apex of the discal cell; postmedian line running obliquely from costa towards the inner margin straighter; whitish-grey curved submarginal line that runs from the brown apical spot to the end on M3 bears a very distinct white spot; Hindwing upperside similar to Nyceryx eximia eximia but basal yellow area less extensive, the blackish-brown marginal band being at most 5-6 mm wide on Rs. Similar to those of Nyceryx eximia eximia but:Uncus hooks more slender, bearing no trace of a tooth or dilation, and the part proximal to the curved apical hook is more abruptly widened.Juxta processes rather larger.Aedeagus with apical ridge on right side rounded; ridge on left side short; whip broader.
