Abdominal spines long and strong, separate on both tergites and sternites; small, weak spines few or absent. Eye large.Terminal flagellomere of antenna long, distally filiform, about as long as the previous four segments together. Palp prominent, less triangular than in Pachylia syces, but more projecting than in Pachylia darceta and Pachylioides resumens. Conspicuous white tip to vein 2A (also present in Pachylia syces). Forecoxal hair-brush not strongly developed. Inner apical spur of hindtibia half as long as hindbasitarsus, but somewhat variable. Hindbasitarsus as long as tarsomeres 2 to 5 together. Uncus divided into two long, slender, pointed, densely hairy processes, which are almost parallel, curving a little ventrad and laterad apically.Gnathos sternite vestigial, without processes.Valve broadly sole-shaped; a patch of short stiff hairs near the base on inner surface.Harpe short, horizontal, ending in a very obtuse process, which is beset on its upper edge with spines pointing upward and basad.Aedeagus with a few setae on the right side. Sternite 7 elongate-trapezoidal, about as long as proximally broad; apex truncate sharply defined, apical edge about 3 mm long, angles rounded.Tergite 8 sinuate, feebly sclerotized distally, strongly sclerotized proximally and at the sides.Sterigma not sharply defined distally, its apical edge not being incrassate or elevated; antevaginal plate membranous and folded; ostium bursae in a large impression, the walls of which are somewhat raised; postvaginal plate scaled.
