Perigonia glaucescens
Immediately distinguishable from all other species of Perigonia by the olive-green head and thorax, characteristic forewing upperside pattern and the broad white or cream band across the upperside of abdominal segment 6. Upperside of head and thorax uniform olive-green, junction with abdomen marked by a narrow band of pale purple-grey scales of the same colour as that along the basal edge of the antemedian band of the forewing upperside. Upperside of abdomen orange-brown, darkening towards the deep brown anal tuft; a conspicuous white or cream band across abdominal tergite 6, diffusing anteriorly onto the posterior half of tergite 5. Forewing upperside with a conspicuous, sharply defined dark brown medial band, basal and distal of which the pale brown ground colour is suffused with contrasting pale purple-grey scales. Hindwing upperside with small basal patch of pale purple-grey scales and a white or cream tornal patch, otherwise entirely dark brown.
