Polyptychus affinis
Diagnostic description:
Ground colour purplish chocolate, mottled with lighter brown.
Female genitalia: Ostium bursae with anterior margin in form of a high triangular ridge ending in two irregular points. Sterigma very different from that of Neopolyptychus pygarga, lacking the two "horns" anterior to and either side of the ostium bursae; lamella postvaginalis small, triangular, sunken.
Distribution:
Known only for certain from the holotype female. The identity of a second female in MNHN from Gabon requires confirmation.
