Polyptychus andosa
The body and forewing are grey and the hindwing copper. Male: Very similar to Polyptychus coryndoni but smaller and: body upperside more brownish; forewing upperside termen more regular; more brownish; transverse lines fainter and more wavy; one or two basal dots always present; not as bright. FWL: 26-29 mm. Forewing upperside broader than in male, with a more convex termen. Darker than the male. FWL: 30 mm.
Male genitalia: Similar to Polyptychus coryndoni but: uncus narrower, less rounded laterally; gnathos with somewhat larger median lobe; valve with stridulatory scales more densely packed; harpe with small ventral lobe, as in Polyptychus coryndoni, but with two processes of about equal length that differ clearly from that species; phallus bearing a bifurcate process below phallotreme, the component blades much closer.
Female genitalia: Tergum A8 rounded mesally; sterigma not strongly sclerotised; lamella postvaginalis membranous; lamella antevaginalis convex, wrinkled except at middle.
