Taxonomic Notes:
Synonymized with Polyptychus nigriplagus [sic] by Carcasson, 1968, Jl E. Afr. nat. Hist. Soc. natn. Mus. 26 (3): 16, who treated it as merely an almost unmarked form. Reinstated as a species by Darge, 1970, Bull. Soc. ent. Fr. 75: 257.
