Polyptychus coryndoni
Male: As in Polyptychus andosa, the body and forewing are grey and the hindwing copper. However, Polyptychus coryndoni is a more robust species (see under Polyptychus andosa) and: forewing upperside rather more grey than brown; forewing with a prominent emargination below apex. FWL: 34-38 mm. Female: Forewing broader and more rounded than in male; apex hooked. FWL: 39-43 mm. For comparison, see also under Polyptychus andosa.
Male genitalia: Uncus broader than in Polyptychus andosa; concave below apex. Gnathos with a triangular, sharply pointed median lobe. Valve and harpe differ from Polyptychus andosa as indicated under that species. Phallus with very long apical process.
Female genitalia: Tergum A8 very narrow, broadening laterally into two plates each giving rise to a very long anterior strut. Operculum trilobed. Sterigma not well defined. Ductus bursae short, sclerotised. Corpus bursae spherical, membranous.
