Polyptychus paupercula
Diagnostic description:
Wings broader than species of Polyptychus other than Polyptychus hollandi. Male: Very similar to Polyptychus hollandi but: Forewing upperside paler brown; tawny spot near angle larger. FWL: 27-31 mm. Female: Forewings darker and broader than male.
Male genitalia: Uncus long, more slender in side view than in Polyptychus hollandi. Gnathos with large lobe somewhat dilated laterally. Valva elongate Harpe a broad rounded flap, not divided into two lobes as it is in Polyptychus hollandi. Phallus with long carinate process, less slender than in Polyptychus hollandi.
Female genitalia: Sterigma raised to a rather high ridge before ostium bursae; lamella postvaginalis membranous, short.
