Polyptychus trisecta
Diagnostic description:
Paler than Polyptychus grayii but forewing with termen straight rather than crenulated and basal spot absent. FWL: 42-45 mm.
Male genitalia: Tergum A8 with stridulatory scales on inner surface. Uncus very long and slender. Gnathos produced into a broad rounded lobe, sometimes constricted basally. Valve broadly sole-shaped with dorsal half of outer surface lacking scaling but with elongated granules rather than stridulatory scales. Harpe produced into two broad processes differing in shape. Phallus with a very long, spatulate apical process.
