Sataspes cerberus Semper, G., 1896

Synonymized with Sataspes tagalica as a form by Rothschild & Jordan, 1903, Novit. zool.9 (suppl.): 474. They applied this name to a form, known only from the female, that has no yellow scales on the thorax or abdomen except for a very few in the middle of the pronotum, the discs of the wings are blue and the base of the hindwing underside has the yellow scaling slightly more extended than in the other forms. Upgraded to subspecies status by Inoue, 1996, Bull Natn. Sci. Mus., Tokyo, Ser. A 22: 94. Raised to species status by Hogenes & Treadaway, 1998, Nachr. entomol. Ver. ApolloSuppl. 17: 36.
