[Syntypes 2♂] Cameroun [Cameroon]: Mokundange, vii.1905 (G. Tessmann) [MNHU; ?CMNH]. There was no indication of syntypes in the original description, but Gehlen, 1929, Int. ent. Z. 22: 355, stated that when Theretra tessmanni was described only two males were known.
