Theretra tessmanni
Diagnostic description:
Male: extremely similar to Theretra jugurtha jugurtha but ground colour of upperside of body and forewings yellowish- grey with darker greenish-grey transverse; wingspan: 68-80 mm. Female: similar to the male but larger, darker, forewings broader and more rounded; wingspan: 80-90 mm
Male genitalia: similar to Theretra jugurtha jugurtha but: Uncus shorter. Gnathos shorter. Valves larger. Harpe much shorter. Phallus apically with fewer teeth; spines on the vesica much more reduced.
