Xanthopan morganii
Segments 2 to 4 of foretarsus almost black. Abdomen underside white, without the pinkish tint seen in Xanthopan morganii praedicta. Forewing upperside with a black apical line extending from costal to distal margin, narrower than in Xanthopan praedicta; black discal streak in cell M3 lighter than in Xanthopan praedicta.
Male genitalia: Uncus resembling that of Neococytius cluentius, curved, dilated apically where it is divided into 3 lobes: lateral lobes broad, obliquely rounded; central lobe gradually tapered to a point. Gnathos long, dilated apically, truncate-sinuate, the sides turned upwards as triangular lobes. Valve round apically, ventral margin almost straight, oblique; a small patch of stridulatory scales present. Harpe basally with a high oblique ridge, vertical upon the plane of the valve, mesially dilated-rounded dorsally, apex truncate, with the edge raised, produced dorsad into a short hook; the apical part of the harpe clothed with stiff hairs; a patch of long bristles above the base of the harpe. Juxta prolonged dorsally, rounded apically, forming a half-cylinder that surrounds the phallus and is deeply sinuate ventrally at the base; the funnel armed with two lobes. Phallus ending in a short, flattened, obtuse process that is separated from the body of the phallus on one side by an incision.
Female genitalia: Postvaginal plate triangular, scaled laterally, separated from the ostial plate by a narrow membranous strip. Ostium longitudinal, the side-edges raised into ridges that terminate sharply distally, but become gradually lower proximally.
