SYNTYPE(S) [♀] Costa Rica: Santa Clara Valley, 1200 feet (F.A. Zurcher) [NHMUK; MNHU?]. There is only a single female in NHMUK with appropriate data. There is a female in the MNHU labelled "co-type" that is a misidentified Xylophanes fusimacula; it is unclear whether or not this is a syntype.
