There is a male in BMNH labeled "near Morogoro, Mwanihana Forest, that looks very similar to Andriasa mitchelli in habitus but comes from an area very distant from those in northern Malawi and southern Tanzania where all other known specimens of Andriasa mitchelli have been recorded. Its status remains to be determined.
The specimen from the Kitulo National Park listed by Darge (2010) as Andriasa mitchelli was subsequently described by Darge (2012) as the holotype of Andriasa igomaensis.
