Polyptychus kivui
Distribution:
Only known with certainty (i.e., confirmed by DNA barcode analysis) from the provinces of Kivu Nord and Kivu Sud, Democratic Republic of Congo. There are similar specimens in NHMUK from adjacent areas of Rwanda (Akagera National Park) and Uganda (Budongo; Bwamba) that are probably also Polyptychus kivui. Specimens of similar habitus from further afield in Zambia (West Lunga National Park) and localities further west in Democratic Republic of Congo that match Polyptychus kivui may represent other species.
