Type data:
SYNTYPES 5♂ Sierra Leone [NHMUK]. In the original description, Rothschild & Jordan stated "In the Tring Museum 5 ♂♂, 3 ♀♀ from: Sierra Leone; type: ♂." Thus only the males can be interpreted as syntypes.
Taxonomic Notes:
Synonymized with Temnora pseudopylas as a subspecies by Carcasson, 1968, Jl E. Afr. nat. Hist. Soc. natn. Mus. 26 (3): 98. Reinstated as a species by Melichar, Řezáč & Ilčiková, 2016, European Ent. 8: 113.
